Hello online witties*! It's been a while since
the last time i've written something for my spot. To be exact it was 2 years ago.
Anyway, i was preparing for a camp visit tomorrow and I was waiting for the tour guide's response but it seems like he flaked on me. I found myself browsing the what's and where's to get there. It took me almost 30 minutes to find a helpful article that includes a complete direction. Thank God for the amazing bloggers! After that experience, a realization of revisiting and pursuing my mini blog came to light. Hoping it can help people like me. :) (hahaha..venting)
It's a striking 36℃ "hotness" here in the Philippines and everyone wants to have a "summer getaway"!
This is the time of the year when Beach photos flood Facebook and Instagram. I wanted to to go to beaches too but considering a very limited time I have during my day off. I don't want long travels to wear me down; cause I'm supposed to be chilling! Lol
So, ACE Water Spa here I come again! Her's how you get there.
Cab- anywhere within Ortigas business proper will cost 98.00php plus
If you're coming anywhere from North or South with Shaw Boulevard MRT station as your starting point walk strainght along Shaw Boulevard going East.
From Shaw facing East, you should be walking at the right hand road and go straight.
I wouldn't recommend taking a jeepney, most of them can't figure out where it is since it's not along the highway. Taking a cab is better but be sober from rip off drivers. I get there walking the first time i visited, it serves as an avenue for me to familiarize the place.
It's best to go there early for you to enjoy the amenities with few guests. It gets a little crowded at noon. Upon arrival, you can pay the receptionist at the front desk for your tickets. It's a paper ticket that you can put on a scanner to get your way in to the spa.

ACE Water Spa has a spot for photo souvenirs. So there goes my buddy. |
You will be provided with keys for your own lockers. They are strict with proper swimming outfit; it has to be spandex. They have swimwears and towels available to purchase and even women tops for rent (100 php).
The place is well kept, you won't feel gross walking around barefooted or using the shower room and washroom. You are also required to put on swimming caps before plunging into the water. Don't worry, they provide the caps. You are only permitted to stay for 4 ticking hours. But trust me, that 4 hrs. is more than enough. Cameras are not allowed inside the swimming area, so i grabbed few photos from the official site.
Few of the many facilities are Hot herbal pools,
Hydrotherapy Spa Area, Sauna, Steam, a Lap Pool and the kid's area. I love the mist from the steam and the lazy pool with warm water and me on a large kick board floating round the bubble pool. It was a relief. The Spa offers from soft to hard hydro massages. Most of the time it's in Metrodeal with a discounted price with the same quality of service, you might as well check it first. However, discounted tickets doesn't apply on Holidays.
This is where you get your soft to hard massages. Enticing, isn't it? |
This is heaven for your kids, make it happen now! :) |

It's perfect to sip and munch after the spa. Jean has been craving for Korean Shabu-shabu but she did not get my buy in. It's a "bit pricey" there, and I think you will agree with me. Buffet is available too. If you are ordering more than 2 meal courses for yourself. It's better to go for a buffet it will cost you the same or even lesser. ;)
Yez, a twofie please. |
A flavorful seafood noodle is such a treat. |
I can't believe I agreed to order spicy chicken wings but it went down easily anyway. lol |
Top off the course with a delightful sweet tastebud teaser. |
Here goes the buffet to "sawa". |
The crew at the Coffee Lounge was kind and offered an extra cup for Jean since we just ordered one serving. It's 85.00 php/3scoops and we got the luxury to choose 1 full scoop of each of our favorite flavors.
I had a pleasant experience. The staff are friendly and attentive to our needs. They have enough shower rooms and dressing rooms for everyone. But I wish guests can follow rules like " not urinating" at the shower area and staff are on point checking the facilities each interval to refill the toiletries.
ACE Water Spa is one of the amenities of ACE Hotel. They cater events for random occasions and a rooftop bar is also available. You might as well get a VIP card for more perks.
I'll keep you posted witj my next stop!
