I read blogs about Wensha Spa and so far it was interesting and thought that i should give it a try. There were some negative comments but still, i decided to see it for myself. The discounted price offered in Metrodeal was irresistible that I was able to convinced my friends to join me. From 780.00 php we had it for only 545.00 php that is inclusive of 6 hr
s. stay, 1 hr. massage (Swedish or Shiatsu},free usage of their amenities (jacuzzi, sauna and steam bath) and of course hell yeah! unlimited FOOD, where else can you find that package? If you wish to stay longer you can pay 100php/hr.
It was an exhausting week and those soothing massages made us craved for our offs everyday. We've never been to Antipolo so we took a taxi and arrived there around 11:25 a.m. They had enough space which serves as a parking area just right beside the building. The guard was courteous, he greeted us with a smile and pointed us the way to the lobby heading to the front desk.

We presented our vouchers to the front desk and issued us a magnetic locker-key bracelets . They asked us to leave our footwear and handed us pairs of flip-flops too.

The Attendant was accommodating. She issued us our robes and towels and showed us the changing stalls. They have three stalls and beside it was a long horizontal mirrors and a wash sink with piled of tissues inside a rectangular golden box . There were no free basic toiletries (powder, lotion, disposable toothbrush, comb ). Unluckily all the stalls were occupied. The customers were numbered, a family celebrating a member's birthday and us. So we just changed outside the stalls. ^_^

The magnetic locker key came with an elastic rubber strap. It was water and heat proof, so it's safe to wear it while you're in the sauna, steam bath or you may also use it to tie your hair while soaking in the jacuzzi. o_o
We planned to arrive early, so right after our shift we headed our way to Wensha without having anything for breakfast and arrived there dead hungry. It was an eat-all-you-can buffet but left overs on our plate should be paid. We went to the dining area with our robes on, it was awkward 'cause everyone were still wearing their casual wears (jeans and shirts). But yes, it's okay to wear robes or casual wears at the dining area.

Wohaaa.., Cathy was complaining someone is forcing her to eat veggies! lol O_O* |
It was a healthy breakfast. Each table has portable single burner stove, so you can make your own noodle or vegetable soup too, just ask for assistance from the crew for a basin to cook. They have an air conditioned and an open air dining area overlooking the highway. Opposite to the dining area was a bar that offers unlimited beer! party party! wohoo!

After that fulfilling breakfast we headed to the Wet Area and wohooaaaa...everyone is of course naked! Though we were already expecting this, it's still awkward to see everyone in their birth suit sharing same bath tub, my friend mubled " I am humiliated" and later said " Woman are sexier when they are dressed" and we all laughed. Inside there were ice cubes in a plastic cooler , cups and small plastic basins where we can put our towels while using the jacuzzi. We went to the shower stalls , shampoo and conditioner were available. Since it's our first time to "bare", we seated for a while wishing everyone will forget our faces after this. O_O

Lukewarm and Hot jacuzzi.

The Sauna and my shadow. lol |
It was relaxing to soak for 15 minutes but the Hot jacuzzi was just too hot! I can smell the chlorine while that bubbly water tries to sooth my body pains. According to Wensha's add jacuzzi improves blood circulation and helps people with Arthritis lessen the pain and have better movements. After that skin dip bath, we then went to the wooden Sauna. I rarely sweat, so this is best for me to detoxify, however this is not advisable for people with high blood though. Fifteen minutes later we went out to try the Steam bath, it was a turn off cause it's not yet available, the crew said it will be open at 1:30 p.m. We waited, after 30 minutes they turned it on. It smells like someone just urinated inside the steam bath so we went out. I did not even see any sign of a "steam" like a smoke or something.
Alright this is it, massage time! I heard that their masseurs are really good. I still remember my previous housemate telling me how surprised she was when the masseur lifted her. She could not even tell how it was done, hahah..., she was totally overwhelmed! We went to the massage desk for our masseurs and chose the room with three massage beds.

We waited for an hour for our masseurs. I had a chance to look around and saw these beautiful sceneries from the window.

When our masseurs arrived they asked us to removed our upper lingerie. We have two options for massages , it could be Swedish or Shiatsu. According to them Shiatsu is a dry massage where they will use pressure as a therapy.. No need to tell Swedish is the opposite, it's a light massage. We chose Swedish with plain oil or you may also try garlic. The massage was rejuvenating and i swear all those painful muscles i had were healed and the feeling was so light. After the massage, they handed us a slip for their tips. You can indicate whatever amount. The tip will be paid at the front desk before leaving.
Alright so, we were all happy campers after leaving the massage room. We then proceeded to the Dining area for a meal before going home.

Noodles and some veggies |

Hopefully the soup will turn out tasty. It was raining and were dying to sip something hot. |
|
Crispy chicken and a spicy noodles. |
We were lucky everything was still freshly cooked. That's the advantage when you go there early. However they don't have ice cream at that time.
|
Shabu-shabu |
We we're in a hurry we only had 45 mins left.. They have few crews and the place was getting crowded. It took a while for us to have our own grill and a basin for the soup.
It was a tasty meal. Now it's time for thankful exit and paid our bills for the tips. Just right beside Wensha is the Human Nature Store that sells Philippine products from coffees to cosmetics. We dropped by there too.

Wensha at Night |
|
This chandelier is giving a dramatic atmosphere at night. |
Wensha's Opportunities:
1. Please keep the wet area clean, there were dark smudges everywhere and the steam bath smells awful.
2. Please refill shampoos and conditioner.
3.Some Dining Crews are a little bit snob specially if you are hinting them that you need something. I know they are tired but least train them to be pleasant if they can't attend to us they should have the courtesy to acknowledge they hear us.
4. Food is not really a big deal since those are only complimentary but next time don't include rotten tomatoes and lousy leafy veggies.
All in all i would still recommend Wensha to my friends! :D
Next time sama na me ... :)
